On our second morning in Loutro, before the heat set in, we walked the coastal path past a small church to Finikas Bay, a quiet cove with a beach and a couple of guesthouses that hardly anyone seems to visit. We sent the drone up along the route to capture the cliffs and the turquoise water below. If we ever come back to Crete, Finikas is where we’d want to disappear for a week or two.
