Netherlands

Our three stories from the Netherlands are all set in Amsterdam, over one rainy December and in two different hotels. A self-guided walking tour past the canals, the cyclists and a few hidden courtyards gave us our first impressions of the city. Then we slept in a grand 1916 building on Dam Square at the five-star Hotel TwentySeven, and in a former newspaper building turned co-working space, restaurant and rooftop sauna at the Volkshotel.
