Hello from Zakynthos, Greece

The shipwreck beach on Zakynthos is the island’s most photographed spot, a rusted hull sitting on white sand below steep cliffs, but the beach itself was closed to visitors this particular year over concerns about falling rocks from those same cliffs. We filmed it from the overlook above instead, the closure changing how we experienced a place we had expected to walk on directly. Even a famous, heavily documented spot can shift from one visit to the next.
