Artsy Escalator in Athens

Outside an Athens metro station, an ordinary staircase and escalator run side by side, one filled with people climbing at their own pace, the other carrying a steady line straight up without anyone moving a muscle. We filmed the two streams of commuters for no real reason beyond how oddly satisfying the contrast looked, purposeful walking on one side, stillness in motion on the other. Sometimes the most watchable moments in a city are the ones nobody else even notices.
