Lego Mona Lisa Found in an Athens Cafe
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play.
A small cafe in Athens had built its own Mona Lisa entirely out of Lego bricks, mounted on the wall like any other piece of art in the room. The scale of it was the surprise, thousands of tiny plastic studs standing in for brushstrokes, close enough in color and shading to be recognizable from across the room. We stopped filming everything else in the cafe once we noticed it, and spent longer than we would like to admit studying the pixelation up close.
