Mexico Olympics Poster from 1968

Inside the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, a poster advertising the 1968 Mexico City Olympics caught our eye among the displays, its bold graphic design holding up decades later in a way a lot of modern sports branding does not. We stopped in front of it longer than most of the exhibits, more interested in the poster’s design than in reading every caption around it. It is a small detail in a stadium mostly known for something much older than 1968.
