Goodbye, Athens – Hello, Rhodes

We left Athens after our stay there and landed on Rhodes for what would become a full month, arriving right at the start of the off season when most of the island’s hotels and restaurants were only just reopening for the year. It felt strange at first, streets this quiet in a place usually packed with summer crowds, but the emptiness gave us the town almost entirely to ourselves for those first few days before anyone else showed up.
