Frappé with milk in Athens
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play.
A frappé with milk near the Acropolis turned into a small ritual during our short stay in Athens after arriving from Zakynthos, the foam thick enough to hold its shape for a surprisingly long time in the glass. We filmed the pour and the first stir, ice clinking as the coffee slowly mixed through the milk. It is a simple drink, but one that somehow tastes specifically like sitting outside in Greece rather than coffee anywhere else.
