Calatrava Transportation Hub New York City

The World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York City was designed by Calatrava, the same architect behind several of the landmark buildings we already know well from living in Valencia, and recognizing his style in a completely different city and context was an unexpected moment of familiarity. We filmed the ribbed white structure from outside, the shape distinctly his even without any signage confirming it. Seeing an architect’s work repeat itself across continents changes how you read a skyline.
