Wunderland Kalkar – Impression On A Rainy Day

Wunderland, the amusement park hosting the Zena Trophy in Kalkar, turned out to be one of the strangest theme parks we’ve come across, built on the site of a nuclear power plant that never actually went into operation. We wandered it on a gray, rainy day, checking out the rides between fireworks sessions and taking full advantage of the all-you-can-eat fries, sodas and soft-serve ice cream included with admission. Even soaked, it was a memorably odd afternoon.
