Glockenspiel in Wuppertal, Germany – Time Is Ticking Down

With time to kill before sunset in Wuppertal, waiting for the right light on the Schwebebahn, we wandered into downtown and stumbled on a glockenspiel in the middle of its show. It’s a cheerful little clock display right up until a figure representing Death emerges from one of the side doors, which was not the ending we were expecting. Next to it, a digital counter ticks down the remaining time, for reasons we still haven’t figured out.
