Wunderland, an amusement park on the German-Dutch border near Kalkar, hosts the Zena Trophy every year, put on by a Dutch pyrotechnics company and known for displays unlike anything else on the fireworks calendar. We put together our favorite moments from the show, including a night mascletà, the loud, rapid-fire style more associated with Valencia than Germany. It’s a strange setting for such a spectacle, but that only adds to the appeal.
