Traisa barely registers on most maps of the Darmstadt area, just a small village with a duck pond, a handful of half timbered houses, and fields opening up right at its edge. We walked it slowly with no real destination, past a church, past gardens, past neighbors chatting over fences in the kind of unhurried afternoon that never makes it into anyone’s itinerary. Nothing here is dramatic. That was exactly the point of filming it.
