Staying at the Flemings Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany #hotels

The Flemings Hotel near Frankfurt’s Eschenheimer Tor keeps one genuinely rare feature most modern hotels would never install today, a working paternoster elevator, an open chain of cabins that never stops moving, forcing you to step on and off while it is still in motion. We rode it more times than necessary purely for the novelty, timing our steps to catch the next open compartment as it slid past. It is the kind of small mechanical throwback that makes an ordinary hotel stay memorable.
