Hot Air Balloon over Colossi of Memnon in Luxor #egypt
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play.
A hot air balloon crossed low over the Colossi of Memnon just as the morning light hit the two seated stone figures, the pilot threading a path between them with a precision that looked almost too smooth to be improvised. We watched from the ground, camera tilted up, wishing for a second we had booked a seat on that particular flight instead of filming it from below. The colossi have stood there for over three thousand years. The balloon was new.
