Once-in-a-Lifetime Flight over the Nile’s Green Belt #egypt
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play.
Flying over the Sahara puts you above an ocean of sand with almost no reference points, just dunes shifting color as the light changes and nothing else for miles in any direction. Then the Nile appears, a sudden, impossibly bright green corridor cutting straight through all that emptiness, fields and palm groves packed right up against the water’s edge. From the air the contrast is almost absurd, like someone drew a green line across a desert with a ruler.
