Don’t Skip the Luxor Museum, Egypt

Luxor Museum is small compared to the temples surrounding it, just a handful of rooms, but the pieces inside are chosen with real care rather than crammed in for volume. We spent less than an hour there and still walked out having learned more about the pharaohs whose names we kept seeing carved into every wall in the Valley of the Kings. It is an easy stop to skip on a packed itinerary, and an easy one to regret skipping.
