Calatrava’s Opera in Valencia, Spain

The City of Arts and Sciences turns into something else entirely after dark, Calatrava’s white ribbed structures catching the stage lighting from every curve as we walked in for a night at the opera. Inside, the building keeps surprising you, no straight lines anywhere, every hallway curving toward the next. We filmed the approach more than the performance itself, since the architecture alone felt like its own kind of overture before the music even started.
