Standing on the top floor of Terminal 21 in Bangkok and looking straight down gives you a stacked view of escalator after escalator running through the mall’s open atrium, each level themed after a different international city in a way that makes the vertical drop even more disorienting. We filmed it from directly above, the pattern of moving steps creating an almost dizzying repetition the further down the frame goes. Heights and escalators do not usually combine to feel quite this intense.
