We landed in Bangkok right as the sky was starting to turn for sunset, a month here ahead of us before heading south to one of the islands for another stretch after that. The skyline caught the last light in layers of orange and pink behind the usual haze that settles over the city by evening. It felt like a fitting first impression to arrive on, the kind of sunset that makes a long flight feel worth it almost immediately.
