We set out looking for the Big Buddha somewhere in Bangkok and ended up somewhere else entirely, a quieter spot that felt more genuinely peaceful than the crowded landmark we had originally planned to find. We are staying in the city for a couple more weeks at this point, still figuring out which neighborhoods and temples are worth prioritizing over the more obvious tourist stops. Getting pleasantly lost here keeps turning up better finds than the actual plan does.
