Ruta de Aguas Waterfall Hike in Buñol – Day Trip From Valencia, Spain

This was our first day trip out to Bunol from Valencia, and for once it had nothing to do with the Tomatina. Instead we followed the Ruta de Aguas, a hiking trail that winds past a string of small waterfalls, pools, and gorges carved into the hills above town. Getting to the trailhead meant crossing through Bunol’s old town and its medieval castle first, which turned out to be a nice warmup before the real hiking began.
