Running with the Traca and Gold Rain Fireworks – Festa dels Xiquets

Festa dels Xiquets del Carrer de Sant Vicent fills a stretch of Valencia’s old town with a traca, a chain of firecrackers laid end to end and lit to run down the street in one continuous, cracking burn. Gold rain fireworks went up right after, showering sparks over rooftops packed with people who clearly knew exactly when to look up. We stood as close as we dared, ears ringing, camera shaking with every pop along the fuse.
