Cloud Making Rock in Calpe – Peñon de Ifach #travel

The Peñón de Ifach in Calpe occasionally generates its own small cloud right at the summit, moist air pushed up and over the rock until it condenses visibly against the peak even when the sky around it stays completely clear. We happened to catch it forming on one particular afternoon, a thin white cap sitting on top of the limestone like the rock was quietly making its own weather. It is a rare enough sight that locals apparently still stop to point it out.
