Bird Prison Visit At The Birdcage at the Vivero Gardens in Valencia #prisonvisit

At the Viveros Gardens in Valencia, an old birdcage sits along one of the paths, and on this particular afternoon three wild parakeets landed on top of it, chattering and peering in at the birds kept inside before flying off again on their own terms. The contrast stuck with us, wild birds checking in on captive ones like visitors at a prison, free to leave whenever they chose. It is a small, slightly absurd scene we happened to catch at exactly the right moment.
