The Ofrenda of Fallas 2021 will go down in the history books for reasons nobody could have predicted a few years earlier: every fallera and fallero wearing a mask while carrying flowers to the Virgin, the two-day parade spread out further than usual, and an added morning session so fewer people needed to gather at once. It’s the same flower offering we’ve watched for years, but reshaped at every step by the pandemic. Somehow, the ritual still came through, masks and all.
