This second round of our favorite Fallas 2021 figures moves away from the big Sección Especial monuments toward the smaller, often more experimental ones tucked into ordinary street corners. One that stood out to us came from the Zapadores-Vicente Lleó commission, a piece built around two faces of the same young woman: miserable in real life, performing happiness online. It’s a sharper, more pointed kind of Fallas art than you usually get, and it was the last figure we saw burn that year.
