First Mascletà of Fallas 2021 – Pirotecnia Zaragozana – Campanar & Thunderstorm

September Fallas 2021 opened with 19 mascletàs packed into just five days, several of them fired simultaneously from different spots on the outskirts of the city instead of the usual single show at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. This first one, by Pirotecnia Zaragozana, went off in Campanar just as a thunderstorm was rolling in, nature competing with the fireworks for the loudest sound of the afternoon. Keeping up with a schedule this packed made for one of our busiest Fallas ever.
