Plantà of Fallas 2021 – Hard Working Fallas Artists

Most visitors only ever see Fallas during its final, most crowded days, missing entirely the months of work that go into building each figure long before the festival officially begins. We filmed part of the Plantà, the actual raising and assembly of the completed figures in the streets, watching artists and crews maneuver enormous painted sections into position with a level of coordination that rarely gets any real recognition. It is a genuinely fascinating process to witness.
