After living through Valencia’s lockdown between March and May of 2020, this particular ninot figure from the Summer Fallas 2021 exhibition spoke to us in a way that felt more personal than most festival displays usually manage, its expression landing somewhere between weary and hopeful depending on how you looked at it. We filmed it slowly, still processing everything that stretch of the pandemic meant for the city and for us directly living through it here.
