L’Antiga de Campanar Fallas Figure 2021

We arrived to find that the L’Antiga de Campanar falla had been damaged overnight by a storm, part of the elaborate figure knocked askew or torn after months of careful construction leading up to Fallas. We filmed the visible damage, genuinely hoping the team responsible would have time to repair it before the festival’s main days arrived. Building these figures takes so long that seeing one compromised this close to the finish felt like a real setback for whoever built it.
