La Ofrenda Fallas 2015
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play.
More than 50,000 people take part in La Ofrenda each year, marching over two days to lay flowers at the feet of a towering wooden structure of the Virgin in the Plaza de la Virgen. Bit by bit, the flowers build up her dress, until the whole frame is covered in color by the time the last marchers arrive. It’s one of the most moving events of Fallas, a quieter counterpoint to all the noise and fire elsewhere in the city.
