Hung Galaxy Exhibition by Taiwanese Artist Hung Yi – City of Arts and Sciences – Valencia
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play.
Hung Galaxy took over Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences with large, cartoonish animal statues by Taiwanese artist Hung Yi, each one painted in bright colors and patterns drawn from Taiwanese folk art. Bunnies, ducklings and pandas got the treatment, set against the stark white curves of the complex’s futuristic architecture. It’s the kind of playful, photogenic exhibition that gave us an excuse to wander a place we already love, even in the middle of a pandemic.
