A Walking Tour Through Historic Springfield, Ohio

Over the years of visiting Springfield, we had noticed clues of a once-thriving past scattered around downtown, mostly in the shape of buildings far too grand for the city’s current size. So this time we joined a local walking tour to actually get the story behind them, and it turns out Springfield really was once one of the more prosperous cities in the country. Seeing that history explained on the ground gave a lot of buildings we had walked past for years a completely new meaning.
