This was our first trip back to Ohio to see family since the pandemic began, and after more than two years away, Springfield had changed more than we expected, especially downtown, where the city’s been working to bring some life back to its center. Two and a half weeks gave us time to properly reconnect, catch up with everyone we’d missed, and just see how the place had shifted while we were gone. Long overdue, in every sense.
