Valencia Blog: A Weekend in Morella #spanishtown

Morella sits far enough from Valencia to feel like a proper escape rather than a day trip extension, cobblestone streets curling up toward a hilltop castle and a basilica that has anchored the town for centuries. We spent the weekend eating flaons from small bakeries and getting slightly lost in streets that all look convincingly medieval, since most of them genuinely are. By the time we reached the castle walls, the whole town had already started to feel like somewhere out of another era entirely.
