Sunset Felucca Ride on the Nile in Luxor Egypt – “Magical” Evening on the River Nile

On our first evening in Luxor we headed down to the promenade across from the Winter Palace to catch a felucca out onto the Nile. Getting a boat meant haggling through a crowd of captains all competing for the same sunset crowd, but once we settled on a price and pushed off, all that stress melted away. Gliding along the river as the sun went down, sails catching whatever breeze there was, felt like the most Luxor thing we could have done.
