Early Morning Luxor Temple Visit

We got to Luxor Temple right as it opened, while the light was still soft and the heat hadn’t set in. The Pylon of Rameses II greets you first, a wall of ancient stone right at the entrance, and with so few other visitors around we could wander the columns and courtyards at our own pace. Mornings like this are why we always try to beat the crowds at Egypt’s big sites.
