Early Mornings In Valencia – The Mercado Central
The player loads from YouTube only when you press play.
Filming the Mercado Central in Valencia at half past six in the morning meant having a building that is normally packed with shoppers almost entirely to ourselves, stalls just beginning to open, vendors setting up produce before the usual crowds arrive. The light coming through the market’s stained glass and ironwork hits differently with nobody standing in front of it. It is a version of a famous, busy space that very few visitors ever actually get to see this quiet.
