This drone footage picks up where our walking tour of Altea left off, covering the mountain leg of the same post-lockdown trip: Guadalest, with its castle perched dramatically on a rocky outcrop, and Benimantell, the small town where we based ourselves for the weekend. From above, you can really see how the landscape shifts from Altea’s white coastal streets to these green, folded hills further inland. Twelve years living in the region, and we’d never properly seen any of it.
