Jurgen grew up in Darmstadt, and after years of just passing through on family visits, we finally spent a full week getting to know the city properly, in late June. Growing up somewhere means you stop really looking at it, so it took slowing down and wandering with a camera to notice how pretty parts of Darmstadt actually are, especially at sunset. It turned a routine family visit into something closer to an actual trip.
