Burned Palm Tree Nursery near Valencia

A hike through the Albufera near Valencia brought us past a palm tree nursery that had clearly burned at some point, rows of blackened trunks still standing upright in neat lines despite the fire, an eerie contrast to the otherwise lush wetland around it. Walking through it felt less like passing a damaged plantation and more like stepping into a dream sequence, order and destruction sitting side by side in a landscape that is normally defined by water and rice fields instead.
