Day trips are what happens when you live somewhere for three months and start running out of excuses to stay home. From Valencia we head to Teruel and its hidden Roman aqueduct, wander red-ochre Albarracín, spend a weekend in Morella and watch the sun go down over the Albufera. From Frankfurt we drive into the Odenwald to Bad König, and from Lucerne it is a short hop to Bannalp, where someone was playing the alphorn.
