The Alchemist of Valencia Streets

We turned a corner in central Valencia and found a street performer holding a clear sphere that seemed to float and roll across his hands without ever quite touching them, the whole illusion so smooth it looked like sleight of hand rather than physics. A small crowd had already gathered, phones up, nobody talking. We stood there longer than planned, trying and failing to figure out exactly how he kept the ball moving without dropping it once.
