Alicante

Our trips to Alicante and its province range from December city breaks, when Spain’s Costa Blanca is quiet and the sun still mild, to weekends in the mountains. We joined a walking tour, wandered the old town and harbor, and climbed to Santa Bárbara Castle among giant nativity scenes. A botched rental in Polop landed us in Finestrat, a long weekend covered Benimantell and Guadalest, and a post-lockdown week in Altea meant beach.
