Climbing up to La Seu Vella in Lleida, we spotted an outdoor escalator running up part of the hillside and decided to ride it instead of walking. It just kept going, far longer than we expected for an open-air escalator, which had us wondering out loud whether it might be the longest one in Spain. It ended up being a small, slightly absurd detail on the way to one of the city’s biggest landmarks.
