The cogwheel train from Montreux climbed steadily toward Rochers de Naye on a day that started sunny and ended with an unexpected dusting of snow at the summit, over two thousand meters above Lake Geneva. Our drone caught the train winding along the mountainside in switchbacks, the lake shrinking into a silver sliver far below as the elevation climbed. The contrast between the warm departure point and the snowy summit made the whole short ride feel like two completely different trips.
