Springfield
Mike’s mom and brother live in Springfield, Ohio, so after sixteen years of visits we know this city better than most, and a dozen-plus stories prove it. Our favorites: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House, the Gammon House and its Underground Railroad history, the pebble-built Hartman Rock Garden, a downtown architecture walk from the Warder Library to the Bushnell Building, and fall colors at Wittenberg, Snyder Park and Ferncliff Cemetery. Beggar’s Night gets a story too.
