We’ve genuinely never seen water as clear and blue as what we found around Zakynthos, the kind of color that looks fake in photos even though nothing here has been adjusted beyond a touch of contrast. A week on the island gave us plenty of time to send the drone up over different coves and inlets, each one somehow bluer than the last. It’s easy to see why this corner of the Ionian Sea keeps pulling people back.
