Pu Luong Nature Reserve is the kind of place we look for on every trip: unspoiled, quiet, and largely free of other tourists. We rented a scooter in Ninh Binh and spent a couple of days riding out to explore it, winding through terraced rice fields and forested hills that felt worlds away from Vietnam’s busier circuits. It was rewarding enough that we’d recommend the detour to anyone passing through the area.
